New Moves Planned for Ntate Molefe in 2018

It is a New Year, which is usually accompanied by New Year’s resolutions. We at “The Adventures of Ntate Molefe” don’t do New Year’s resolutions, but instead, we set new, bigger and bolder goals.

We can’t tell you too much, but for the fact that the plan is to take our hero’s adventures to the comic book format and place it on the magazine shelves of your local supermarket and newsagent. South Africa does not have its own comic book on the shelves, we don’t have our own superheroes, which is shocking when you think about it.

We want to fill this void, so keep an eye on this website for more developments.

Recently an international study showed that 78% of children in grade 4 read with little to no comprehension. This basically means that kids aged 10 years old look at books, are able to identify the letters, words and sentences, but are unable to take any meaning from what they “read”.

Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga, recently ascribed this to the fact that we, as a nation – and our children in particular – don’t read enough. We believe that we have an innovative, fun solution that should have existed all along in any event, COMIC BOOKS!

Ntate Molefe in his current comic strip form, with the occasional series offering is cool, but we want to give you more, a 20 page saga of his adventures on the rough and tumble streets of Hillbrow.

Ntate Molefe and his adventures will be our first offering. We will be brining you more news as we develop this awesome publication so keep your eyes peeled.
